Overview
Founded in 1978 with play beginning in 1979, the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) is a collegiate summer wood-bat league in upstate New York, featuring 10 teams divided into East and West divisions. It provides NCAA-eligible college players with a 42-game schedule from early June to late July, followed by a three-round playoff (three teams per division qualify). The league emphasizes player development, MLB scouting, and community involvement through host families and volunteers.
