Founded in 1976, the Jayhawk Collegiate League (JCL) is a premier summer collegiate wood-bat league in Kansas, consisting of 9 teams and affiliated with the National Baseball Congress (NBC) World Series. It provides NCAA-eligible college players with competitive opportunities, emphasizing player development, community involvement, and a path to the NBC tournament. The season runs approximately 40 games from early June to late July, followed by playoffs. The league operates as a non-profit, promoting affordable family entertainment and sportsmanship in a Midwestern setting.
