Overview
Founded in 1993, the California Collegiate League (CCL) is a premier collegiate summer wood-bat baseball league headquartered in Moorpark, California. It features 10 core teams spanning from Sonoma in the north to Orange County in the south, divided into North and South divisions, plus 4 affiliate teams that compete alongside them. The league hosts over 400 players annually from top NCAA conferences (e.g., SEC, Pac-12, Big Ten), emphasizing player development, MLB scouting, and community engagement. The 40-game regular season runs from early June to late July, followed by a postseason culminating in the California State Championship in August, along with events like the North vs. South Showcase Game. With over 300 MLB draftees (283 as of 2023, updated post-2025), notable alumni include players coached by MLB legends like Mike Scioscia and Ted Lilly. The CCL is non-profit, fan-driven, and known for its professional atmosphere in scenic California venues.
