Overview
Founded in 1966 with play beginning in 1967, the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) is a collegiate summer wood-bat league operating in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving as a gateway to professional baseball. It features 12 teams in the Kaiser Division, drawing NCAA-eligible college players from the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania) for development and exposure. The season runs approximately 40 games from early June to late July, followed by playoffs. The league abides by NCAA rules, is partially funded by Major League Baseball, and is a charter member of the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball (NACSB). It has produced numerous MLB alumni and focuses on player improvement in a competitive environment.
